Put simply, a Birth Chart is a snapshot of the sky when you were born. Embodying the philosophy of As Above, So Below, spiritualists believe the cosmic energies present at our time of birth is like a roadmap for our life.

Birth Charts are a rich source of information when learning about oneself. For instance, they can help us see where our core energies are directed towards, where our biggest lessons are this lifetime, who our ideal partner is, and how we can best show up in the world.

Literally, a Birth Chart is a circle, divided into twelve sections (named Houses). The sections correlate with each of the twelve zodiac constellations, known commonly as the signs.

When analysing a Birth Chart, astrologers look to:

• Where the planets were in the sky when you were born

• How these energies can be felt by you, at various times in your life

• How the planetary energies engage with each other

• Upcoming astrological forecast (i.e. how the sky at the moment is impacting the energies present at your birth)

Astrologers use other tools when reading a Birth Chart, so it's not all what you see on free reading websites. It is more layered and nuanced than an AI-generated spreadsheet!

We will be able to determine many of your placements such as the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Lilith. Though we won't know your Rising sign, which indicates how the signs are placed within your wheel.

Without knowing your rising sign, predictive astrology with transits and timing cannot be used.

Rising signs change every couple of hours. If your mum can't remember if it was 1:05 PM or 1:10 PM, that isn't a big issue. If she can't remember if it was AM or PM though, we have a problem. Some hospitals keep birth records, you are welcome to call the hospital of your birth and enquire.

I was inspired to name my business Soma Elemental through my experiences with somatic therapy and somatic healing, as it has been a journey getting out of the mind and into the body.

As we are made of the stars, this seemed fitting, to encompass all aspects of the business under one beautiful name.

Using your date of birth, time of birth, and location of birth, I generate your Birth Chart. This is unique to you, your own cosmic blueprint for your energetic life forces.

I spend an hour before each session studying the chart, writing intuitive notes (i.e. my first observations, my major insights and takeaways) and looking at all aspects of your life, from personality, to love, to career, to home, all of it!

I then look at the upcoming astrological forecast and write down my calculated predictions for your year ahead. Using major transits (like Pluto moving into Aquarius, Jupiter in Gemini, for example), we see where these energies are present for you and where the focus of your life will be for the months ahead.

During the call, I explain an overview of your chart to you, where your planets are and what they mean, how the energies flow between them (e.g., is it supportive or challenging?) and what you can look out for.

If we do tarot and oracle, I tap into your energy and pull however many cards speak to me. Yes - this works online! The cards are brilliant at reaffirming topics spoken about during the chart analysis too, as well as spotlighting any issues present for you at the moment.
